What it actually smells like

The opening is cool — mint and bergamot, bright and almost sharp for the first few minutes. Then it turns: benzoin brings a warm, resinous sweetness and lavender keeps it aromatic rather than dessert-like. The base is vanilla and tonka, smooth and soft, and that contrast between the cold opening and the warm dry-down is the whole appeal. Sweet, but not cloying.

Is Rayhaan Elixir too sweet?

Both are evening scents. Elixir is the sweeter, smoother one built on vanilla and tonka; Lion is spicier and louder with birch and patchouli.
