What it actually smells like

Cardamom opens it — dry and slightly green, not sweet — and then the familiar Le Male lavender arrives with iris softening it into something powdery and expensive-smelling. The dry-down is where it earns the "Le Parfum" name: vanilla, warm resins and woods that sit close to the skin and stay there. It is the same character as the original, dressed properly.

Le Male vs. Le Male Le Parfum: which one is this?

This is Le Parfum (2020), the Eau de Parfum Intense. The original Le Male EDT opens on mint and reads clean and soapy; Le Parfum drops the mint entirely, opens on cardamom, and builds a lavender-iris heart over vanilla and warm woods. It is darker, smoother and noticeably longer-lasting than the blue-bottle original.

Le Parfum is the refined, woody-vanilla end of the line. If you want the sweeter, honeyed take, that is Le Male Elixir; if you want the loudest and heaviest of them all, that is Le Male Elixir Absolu. Trying all three as 5ml decants costs a fraction of one bottle.
