What Does Acqua di Giò Profondo Parfum Smell Like?

Salty marine notes and bright bergamot up front, a green, aromatic heart of violet leaf and lavandin, then a dense, resinous base of balsamic cistus, patchouli and vetiver, with a touch of everlasting (immortelle) adding warmth. It is still unmistakably Acqua di Giò — fresh and marine — but darker, more mineral and more grown-up than the lighter versions.

Profondo Parfum vs Profondo EDP vs Original Acqua di Giò

The original Acqua di Giò (1996) is a light citrus-aquatic Eau de Toilette. Profondo EDP pushes the marine side further with lavender, rosemary and a mineral amber base. Profondo Parfum (2024) is the most intense of the three: it keeps the sea notes and bergamot but adds violet leaf and a resinous cistus-patchouli-vetiver base, so it reads deeper, smoother and lasts longer. This decant is Profondo Parfum, not the EDP.
