What it actually smells like

It opens with the lavender-and-mint signature that makes a Le Male recognisable in two seconds, then vanilla and benzoin move in and turn it warm and resinous. The base is where it separates from the original: honey — thick, golden and slightly animalic rather than sugary — with tonka bean and a soft tobacco warmth underneath that keeps it from reading as a dessert. It is the original Le Male turned sweet and heavy without losing the barbershop backbone.

Elixir vs. Elixir Absolu: which one is this?

This is the 2023 Le Male Elixir — the honey-and-vanilla one, sweeter, with a tobacco warmth in the base and slightly easier to wear. Elixir Absolu is the heavier follow-up, with plum and cinnamon and a denser resinous base. If you want the woody-vanilla, more restrained direction instead, that is Le Male Le Parfum.

What is the difference between Le Male Elixir and Elixir Absolu?

How long does Le Male Elixir last on skin?
Most wearers get 8–12 hours with strong projection in the first few hours. It is one of the better performers in the designer range.
